There's a moment every March when the whole sport holds its breath at once — the bracket drops, a name gets called, and a season's worth of work finally gets a number next to it. This year, Rae Rose Media got to build the room where South Carolina found out.
On Sunday, March 15, we turned the Columbia Museum of Art into home court for the G.Hive. For four hours, fans didn't just watch Selection Sunday — they lived in it. We built three ways to pull up, each one its own kind of access: General Admission for the fans who came for the energy and the buzz, a Deluxe Pass that opened up a full spread and a beer and wine bar, and a VIP experience that closed the night with a private dinner alongside the coaches and players who made the season worth celebrating. Every dollar in the room went straight back to fueling the program.
And the room gave fans plenty to do while they waited on the reveal. A pop-a-shot setup turned into an unofficial competition all night. A magician moved through the crowd pulling off tricks that had people doing double takes mid-conversation. The DJ kept the energy at full volume, the step-and-repeat stayed busy all night with fans capturing the moment, and one lucky name got pulled for courtside seats to a Gamecocks game. It was culture, hospitality, and basketball sharing the same room — which is really the whole point of what we do.
Then the bracket dropped, right as the room was loudest, and South Carolina heard its name called for a No. 1 seed — the sixth straight year, the tenth time in program history. Coming off a 31-3 season, it felt less like a surprise and more like a coronation, and the FAMS got to be in the room for it because that's exactly the room we set out to build.
That's the standard behind every RRM production: put the fans inside the moment, not just in front of a screen watching it happen. Selection Sunday was proof it works.
Go Gamecocks.
